About Us

Tri-County Family Medicine has served the communities south of Rochester, New York since 1972.

Our founding physicians (including Paul Frame, M.D., and Norman Wetterau, M.D.) have been nationally recognized leaders in academic and clinical family medicine since the inception of the discipline.

Our patients span all ages and stages of life. We take great satisfaction in helping newborns grow into healthy adults. We emphasize preventive medicine to all patients, and treat common conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. We also assist in the education of area medical students and participate in activities that promote the general health of our communities.

Like our founders, we believe that family medicine is the highest calling of a medical professional, requiring integrity and character, a broad spectrum of knowledge, and a genuine desire to serve patients and their communities. We’re ideally suited for health professionals who are all about their patients, and for patients who want individual care and attention from their medical team.

Patient Centered Medical Home

Tri-County Family Medicine is a Patient Centered Medical Home. This means that patients are supported by a care team led by a primary care provider. With a focus on individualized care where the patient is at the center, the team helps patients get the care and services that are right for them.

We are also a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike organization. That means we offer a sliding fee discount program and accept patients into our practice without regard to their ability to pay.
